I Have been shopping here since it opened. But I am very disappointed in the way it has gone down hill. Store is not as clean as it once was. It is almost a health hazard going into the restrooms. The staff used to be helpful and respectful , but now you if you asked them a question they act like your a major inconvenience too their day. Watching the staff just stand around with there faces in their phones is truly just heartbreaking to what was a great place to shop.

Seems like ever since corporate started making changes to this location, it's done nothing but go downhill. You can see it the moment you pull into the parking lot. There are hardly any customers there anymore. Today I stopped in to buy some simple nuts and bolts. Atwood's has always been one of my go-to places because they sold them by the pound at a reasonable price. However, the pricing is no longer posted anywhere. I found a manager and asked what the current price per pound was. She told me I needed to put the nuts and bolts I wanted into a bag, take them to the register, and then they could tell me the price. When I pointed out how ridiculous that was, she explained that corporate requires it because the pricing changes weekly. Imagine going to the grocery store, filling a bag with apples, and being told they can't tell you the price until you get to checkout. Customers should know what they're paying before they decide to buy something. Not posting prices and expecting people to bring items to the register just to find out what they cost is a terrible customer experience.

I can’t say enough about Jacob in the Stihl department at Atwoods. He’s a wealth of knowledge and handles every question I throw his way. Even when things get busy, he remains patient, professional, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. It’s rare to find someone who balances expertise with that level of customer care. If his managers are reading this, know that he’s a standout asset to your team!

I love shopping here but I am not a fan of not having prices on everything anymore and there have been some employees that are not very willing to help (and if they can not help they do not get someone who can). I will say I have not purchased some items because there was no price tag and no one would help.

I have to tell you.... I specifically came here for the 99¢ plants on sale and I was extremely impressed with the selection of plants and the healthiest bunches of plants to choose from. I will not be bothering with my local Atwood's in Denton anymore. The staff here is helpful, kind and a true testament to customer service as well. Definitely get the best selection and service at this location!!!
